Sharing your diagnosis with friends can feel awkward or overwhelming. You might worry about them treating you differently or not knowing what to say.

In Plain English: This is about “setting the vibe.” You get to decide how much info to share and when.

Be Direct: Your friends likely want to help but are scared of saying the wrong thing. Telling them, “Im still the same person, I just have a lot of doctor appointments right now,” can break the ice.

The “Update” Strategy: If responding to individual texts is exhausting, consider a group chat or a private social media page where you can post one update for everyone at once.
